|  A young man died at San Pedro Hospital in Logrońo yesterday after electrocuting himself as he was attempting to reach a pair of football boots hanging from high tension electricity cables.
A second man, who was badly burned when he tried to pull his friend clear, is recovering satisfactorily at the same hospital.
The incident occurred at Nájera's municipal football pitch at around 3.40pm as the first man was trying to unhook the boots using a metal cable.
The two men, who are both in their mid-twenties and of Senegalese origin, moved to Nájera several years ago. |
