Around five thousand baby battery hens were found dead on a farm in Zurucuáin in Navarra yesterday. At this stage, it seems that they died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Two farm workers were taken to García Orcoyen Hospital in Estella suffering from mild intoxication.

The regional police force has launched an investigation to establish the cause of the tragedy.
