| TEN people, including a four-week-old baby suffered severe carbon monoxide poisoning yesterday in a house in Ponferrada (León).
Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving a panicked call from one of the eight occupants of the house.
Three women and four men, who all live in the house along with the baby girl, were taken to Hospital del Bierzo in Ponferrada and Hospital de Valdecilla in Santander.
All the adults were later discharged, and the baby is expected to be able to go home today.
Medics also had to treat a doctor and a nurse who attended the scene and also suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police and firefighters inspected the property, but have not yet found the cause of the air-pollution.
Their first theory relates to combustion problems in a chimney. |
