| A BRITISH girl who was found murdered in the Cabo Roig estate in Orihuela Costa (Alicante) lived with her boyfriend and worked in the family pub, police say.
The victim, 20, was found lying on a plastic sheet in the rented apartment she shared with her British boyfriend, 24, with around 12 stab-wounds to her neck.
She worked in Smiling Jack’s Bar, owned by her mum and dad.
Friends and acquaintances say she was ‘very pretty and nice to everyone’, provoking bouts of extreme jealousy in her partner.
They say the couple were constantly rowing because of his possessiveness and he had been seen pushing her in the street.
A local barman said he overheard her telling friends last week that she ‘couldn’t take any more’.
A spectacular police chase on Friday led to the capture of the girl’s boyfriend in Oliva.
Officers were forced to cut him up, leading him to crash his white British-registered Opel in the orange groves.
He has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Police say he has an existing criminal record for petty theft, but no previous charges of domestic violence.
