| HOLLYWOOD star Gwyneth Paltrow is encouraging people to visit Barcelona via her website.
The Oscar-winner has already visited Valencia this year and is a self-confessed fan of paella.
On www.goop.com, the actress recommends the best places to visit and eat out in the Catalunya capital.
Having spent a year living in Spain, in Talavera de la Reina (Ciudad Real province) Gwyneth says she loves Spanish culture, food and scenery.
She visited Barcelona for the first time at the age of 19 with nothing more than a rucksack and enough money for her train fare.
For this reason, her recommendations on the site cover options for all budgets.
Amongst these is Bar Inopia, which she says she ‘would fly to Barcelona just to eat in this packed, noisy pub’ and Quimet y Quimet, which she calls ‘truly marvellous, extravagant and different to anywhere else in the world you’ll have seen’.
This is not the first time the film star has become a walking guidebook on Spain.
Last year, she starred in the documentary Spain on the road again, in which she extolled the virtues of Spanish cuisine.
