| Four children have been found safe and sound after getting lost and spending the night in the open air in Creu de Ventaiol de Vacarisses (Barcelona).
After looking for their children for over three hours when they failed to return from a walk, their parents contacted the emergency services at around 9pm yesterday and a search party made up of police officers, firefighters, civil defence officers and neighbours was immediately despatched.
The search began last night in the town of Vacarisses and the surrounding woodland. With no sign of any of the children, a helicopter joined the search at dawn this morning.
The children, a ten year old boy and his sisters aged seven and four, and a seven-year-old friend of theirs, were found unharmed at about 9 o'clock this morning.
They were brought back to the search party's control point by helicopter, and rather than being frightened by their night out in the open appear to have enjoyed the adventure. Ambulance staff at the scene carried out a health check of all of them and declared them to be in perfect health. |
