| BUS-DRIVERS in Barcelona went on strike yesterday for the 20th time in just 18 months.
They say they still have not come to an agreement over their scheduled breaks and bank holiday entitlement.
The strike was called by unions CGT, ACTUB and the Plataforma Sindical de Autobuses in the city.
Representatives say negotiations with the transport company have ground to a halt and both sides of the fence appear to be at a stalemate.
Spain’s major unions, UGT and CCOO, support the bus-drivers’ cause but did not support the strike.
Drivers downed tools between 11.00hrs and 16.00hrs today.
Sources say every bus-driver in the city took part in the strike.
Later protests have not been ruled out if an agreement cannot be reached between unions and the Barcelona bus company.
