BRITISH rockers The Arctic Monkeys wowed an audience of 11,000 on Friday night in Madrid's Palacio de Vistalegre.
The band, formed by Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Mat Helders and Nick O'Malley played tracks from their latest album, Humbug.
Their act included such novelties as appearing out of a cloud of smoke to the sound of an alarm clock before launching into Dance little liar after Turner greeted the audience in Spanish with: “Hola, somos los Arctic Monkeys.”
Aisles and seats were packed to the brim, and their concert last night in Barcelona's Palau Sant Jordi was equally successful.
The Arctic Monkeys will perform at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia next Saturday, February 13, free of charge.
