British arrests in Benidorm
The Guardia Civil have arrested three British citizens for allegedly abducting and sexually abusing a minor in Benidorm.
Police say one of the offenders has an arrest warrant out for failing to serve an eight-
year prison sentence.
Interpol had warned Spanish authorities about the possible arrival of a ‘dangerous paedophile’ in the country and when on April 14 a minor was reported missing to Benidorm police, agents began to investigate a possible connection.
The child was found in a vehicle and in his statement to police he claimed he had been sexually assaulted by three British citizens. The suspects are aged 27, 35 and 44 and are at present at Altea Guardia headquarters.
